Hi,
Since I was a child a dream of mine has been to run the London Marathon. After years of applying I have at last been successful in gaining a place! So on 21st April I will at long last be running the 26.2 miles of the London Marathon. I really do feel so very fortunate !
Having secured my place I would like to use my good fortune to raise some money for a good cause that is close to my heart – The Liverpool Larrys.
The Liverpool Larrys is a new support group I am involved with who are dedicated to helping Laryngectomy patients and their families, offering support and advice on a wide range of subjects. The group is a warm and friendly environment that allows laryngectomy patients to share their experiences and advice about issues impacting on the daily lives of patients following laryngectomy surgery.
I would be incredibly touched if you could help raise some money for this excellent cause by sponsoring me for the marathon. I’ll be grateful for whatever you can give, every donation counts, towards this important and personal cause.
